Whereas today my sight was blurred,

As I gaze through clear windows…
I will see my own face in the darkness.
Yours will not be there.
It might have been,
But our choices made that impossible.
Instead…
As I gaze through the darkening glass…
I will see only my own image reflected.
As it should have been from the first.
